Before using the ‘Doshi’ app (the “App”) you should read this agreement carefully.
By clicking on the "[I accept]" button on the App, you agree to these terms which will bind you.
1. ABOUT US
Doshi App Limited (trading as ‘Doshi) is a private limited company incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 13807674 whose registered address is at 101 Chesterton Road, W10 6ET.
Our mission is to offer an engaging, gamified platform for financial education, enabling users to learn while they earn. Our features include a comprehensive Learning Academy, various rewarding missions, a marketplace to redeem earned 'Dosh', and several interactive competitions. We also provide a conversational AI tool for financial enquiries. All the while, our aim is to respect user privacy and operate under full compliance with UK GDPR.

2. BY USING THE APP YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the ‘Doshi’ app, including the Learning Academy, Missions, Marketplace, Competitions, and any future features we may offer.
By downloading, accessing or using the Doshi app, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions and that you agree to comply with them. If we make any updates or changes over time, we will notify you via email before making those changes.
If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you must immediately stop using then Doshi app.
We recommend that you save or print a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your records and future reference.
3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT
To gain access to the full suite of features offered by the 'Doshi' app, you will be required to create an account. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide certain information, such as your email address and financial preferences.
By creating an account, you affirm that all information provided is accurate, current, and complete. You also agree to promptly update any changes to this information to keep your account accurate.
Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials is your responsibility. If you believe your account has been compromised or misused in any way, please contact us immediately at hello@doshi.app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are found to violate these terms.
4. YOUR PRIVACY
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. As required by data protection legislation, we provide you with detailed information about who we are, how we process your personal data, the purposes for which we use your data, and your rights in relation to your personal data. You can find all this information in our Privacy Policy.
We will only process personal data collected through your use of the Doshi app as set out in our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you acknowledge this processing, and you confirm that all data provided by you is accurate.
In addition to our standard data collection, we may need to collect more in-depth data when you wish to redeem rewards from our Marketplace. This process will be in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in full compliance with UK GDPR.
5. DATA COLLECTION AND SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES
To provide our services, we may collect various types of data about you. This includes but is not limited to, data provided during the registration process, data generated as you use our services, and data necessary to redeem rewards.
We treat all data we collect with care, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant data protection laws. However, to enhance your experience and provide the most rewarding service, we may need to share some of your data with trusted third-party partners, sponsors, or service providers.
This could include sharing information with third parties who help us manage our services, provide customer support, manage promotions, or process gift card rewards. We may also share data with our sponsors or partners in anonymised, aggregated form.
Any sharing of data will be in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using Doshi, you agree to such sharing of data. If you do not wish for your data to be shared in this way, you may not be able to use certain features of our app.
Please remember, when we share your data with third parties, they may have their own privacy policies, which we recommend you read.
6. THIRD-PARTY SPONSORSHIPS
Doshi may collaborate with Santander to provide you with rewards, special promotions, competitions, or additional services.
In the context of these sponsorships, we may share personal data with Santander. This is done to enable us to deliver on our commitments, measure the effectiveness of our partnership, and provide you with the most beneficial and relevant experiences.
Please be aware, when you engage with any sponsored content or when you leave Doshi to visit Santander’s website, you will be subject Santander’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policies. We recommend you review these policies before interacting with or providing any data to Santander.
As always, we remain committed to protecting your data and ensuring your privacy. All third-party sponsorships follow our Privacy Policy and relevant data protection legislation.
7. OTHER APPLICABLE TERMS
In addition to these Terms and Conditions, your use of the Doshi app is also subject to our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and respect your privacy.
These documents together form a part of our commitment to transparency and legal compliance. Please ensure you have read and understood them before using Doshi. Your continued use of the Doshi app signifies your acceptance of these policies and terms.
8. APP STORE TERMS ALSO APPLY
Your use of the Doshi app is not only governed by these Terms and Conditions but also by the rules and policies of the app store from which you downloaded our app. This could be either Apple's App Store or Google's Play Store.
Where there are differences between our terms and the app store's rules and policies, the latter will take precedence. It is your responsibility to be aware of and comply with all applicable terms and conditions when using Doshi.
9. OPERATING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
To run the Doshi app smoothly, you need a smart device with a minimum operating system of iOS 13 or Android 8. Please note, some features may work better with more recent versions of these operating systems. Always keep your device updated to the latest version to enjoy the best possible experience with Doshi.
10. SUPPORT FOR THE APP AND HOW TO TELL US ABOUT PROBLEMS
Support: If you want to learn more about Doshi, need assistance with any of its features, or have any problems or complaints, please don't hesitate to get in touch. You can email us at hello@doshi.app. Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible user experience and resolving any issues promptly.
Communication: When we need to contact you, we will do so using the contact details you have provided during registration or updated in your account settings. This could be for support, service updates, promotions, or other relevant communications related to your use of Doshi.
11. HOW YOU MAY USE THE APP, INCLUDING HOW MANY DEVICES YOU MAY USE IT ON
In agreeing to these terms, you are granted the following permissions:
● You may download and install the Doshi app on one or more smartphones or handheld devices. You can view, use and display the Doshi app on these devices strictly for your personal, non-commercial use.
● You may access and use any electronic documentation ("Documentation")that we provide in support of the Doshi app.
Remember, your use of the Doshi app should always be in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and any other applicable rules or policies. Any other use of the Doshi app not explicitly permitted by these terms is strictly prohibited.
12. REWARDS AND MARKETPLACE
As a Doshi user, you have the opportunity to earn points, which we refer to as "Dosh", through various activities on the app. These could include completing lessons, missions and participating in competitions.
If you are eligible, the Dosh points you earn can be redeemed in our Marketplace. The Marketplace offers a range of rewards, including but not limited to gift cards, voiceovers, and charity donations. We use a 3rd party gift card provider called Runa who will be sending you the gift card with instructions on how to redeem.
Please note, each reward in the Marketplace may require additional user information or a specific amount of Dosh points to redeem.
There may be eligibility criteria you need to meet to redeem any rewards. These will be communicated to you when you register an account and accept these terms and conditions. Santander will end their arrangement with Doshi 90 days after the end of the trial period, which will result in you no longer being eligible to redeem any rewards.
Remember, Dosh points has no cash value outside of the Doshi app and cannot be exchanged for real-world money. It is strictly for use within the Doshi app and its Marketplace.
13. USER OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Acceptable Use Restrictions)
As a user of Doshi, you have certain obligations and responsibilities. You must:
● Use the App in a lawful manner and for lawful purposes. You must not use the App in a way that is fraudulent, malicious, or inconsistent with these terms. For instance, hacking into the App, or inserting malicious code such as viruses, or harmful data into the App or any operating system, is strictly prohibited.
● Respect all intellectual property rights related to the App. This includes Doshi's intellectual property rights and those of any third parties. You must not infringe these rights in your use of the App, beyond what is permitted by these terms.
● Ensure that the material you transmit in relation to your use of the App is not defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.
● Avoid using the App in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, impair, or compromise our systems or security, or interfere with other users’ enjoyment of Doshi.
● Not collect or harvest any information or data from our systems or attempt to decipher any transmissions to or from our servers, except as permitted by these terms or as we expressly permit.
Failure to adhere to these acceptable use restrictions can result in suspension or termination of your access to Doshi, at our sole discretion.
14. GAME RULES AND COMPETITIONS
Doshi offers a gamified learning experience that includes various activities such as missions, trivia, and other competitions.
Each of these activities has its own set of rules which you must adhere to. These rules are outlined within the game or competition details. By participating in these activities, you are agreeing to comply with these rules.
Certain activities or competitions may offer the opportunity to earn Dosh, experience points ("XP"), or other rewards. The specific details of these rewards, including how they are earned and any restrictions on their use, will be outlined in the game or competition details.
Please note, we reserve the right to modify or end any game or competition at any time, without notice. We also reserve the right to disqualify any user who violates the rules or spirit of the game or competition, or these Terms and Conditions, from participating in the game or competition and/or earning rewards.
15. FINANCIAL EDUCATION, NOT ADVICE
Doshi is designed to provide financial education and help users develop a better understanding of financial matters. The information and resources provided by Doshi, including in the Learning Academy, Missions and Competitions are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as financial advice.
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we make no representations or warranties about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of any information, products, services, or related graphics contained on Doshi for any purpose.
Any reliance you place on such information is therefore strictly at your own risk. We recommend that you consult with a qualified professional if you want professional advice tailored to your personal financial situation.
Doshi is not a financial advisor, and using Doshi does not create a client-advisor relationship between you and Doshi or any of its employees or representatives.
16. FUTURE SERVICES AND FEATURES
Doshi is always evolving, and we may introduce new features, services, or tools in the future.This could include personal finance tools and connections to open banking, among other potential offerings.
Any new features, services, or tools will be subject to these Terms and Conditions and may also come with their own terms and conditions or policies, which you will need to agree to before you can use them.
Please note, while we are excited about the potential to offer new features, services, or tools, we make no commitment or guarantee about the nature, availability, or timing of any future offerings.
Keep an eye on updates to these Terms and Conditions and on our App to stay informed about any new developments.
17. YOU MAY NOT TRANSFER THE APP TO SOMEONE ELSE
Doshi grants you, as the user, the personal right to use the App as outlined in these terms and conditions. This right is non-transferable, meaning you are not permitted to pass on your right to use the App to anyone else, whether in exchange for money, other consideration, or for free. This also applies to any Dosh or XP you earn through the App. These rewards are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to others.
If you sell, giveaway, or otherwise transfer a device on which the App is installed, you must remove the App from the device beforehand, as the new device owner must register their own account to use Doshi.
18. WE MAY MAKE CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Doshi reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect changes in law, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, or the introduction of new features and services in the App. Any modifications will be communicated via email and effective immediately upon posting the revised terms on the App.
We encourage you to periodically review these terms to stay informed about any changes. By continuing to use the App after any modifications are posted, you acknowledge your acceptance of the revised terms.
If you do not agree with any modifications to the Terms and Conditions, your only recourse is to stop using the Doshi App.
19. UPDATES TO THE APP
Doshi is committed to enhancing your experience and ensuring the app is up to date. As such, we may automatically update the App to improve performance, add new features, fix bugs, ensure compliance with changes in law or best practices, enhance functionality, address security issues, or make other changes we deem necessary or beneficial to the App. In some instances, we may require you to update the App for these reasons.
By using Doshi, you agree to promptly download and install any requested updates. Please note, if you choose not to install such updates, or if you opt out of automatic updates, your experience with the App may be affected, including your ability to use certain features, or to use the App at all.
We will make every reasonable effort to communicate any significant changes to the App to you in advance.
20. IF SOMEONE ELSE OWNS THE PHONE OR DEVICE YOU ARE USING
If you download or install Doshi onto any phone or other device that is not owned by you, you must first obtain the owner's permission. You are responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our App through a device you do not own are aware of these Terms and Conditions and comply with them.
Regardless of who owns the device, by using the App, you are accepting and agreeing to be bound by these terms. You are personally responsible for your use of the App and for ensuring that your use complies with all provisions of these terms, regardless of device ownership.
21. WE MAY COLLECT TECHNICAL DATA ABOUT YOUR DEVICE
To provide the best possible experience and continually improve Doshi, we may collect and use technical data about the devices you use the App on, as well as related software, hardware, and peripherals.
This might include data such as your device type, operating system version, device settings, hardware performance, and device identifiers. We may also capture data about how you use our app, such as analytics data.
By using the App, you agree to this collection and use of technical information. It's important to note that this data will be used solely for the purpose of enhancing the App's functionality and improving our services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
22. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND APIS
Doshi integrates with third-party services and utilises third-party APIs to deliver its functionalities. This includes, but is not limited to, the 'conversational AI' feature, which uses a third-party API to allow users to explore finance-related=topics, such as budgeting, saving, investing, and borrowing, for informational purposes only.
When providing “conversational AI”, OpenAI acts as a data processor on behalf of Doshi and processes personal data under our instructions, in accordance with our signed Data Processing Agreement (DPA). OpenAI is committed to complying with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR, and has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. When interacting with OpenAI’s features, you may be subject to its terms and conditions and privacy policies and we strongly encourage you to review such terms and policies.
Doshi takes reasonable steps to ensure that OpenAI complies with all applicable security and privacy standards. However, Doshi is not responsible for the availability, functionality, or any external breaches related to OpenAI’s services beyond our obligation to assist users and follow legal requirements, such as notifying users in case of a data breach.
We remain committed to safeguarding your data and ensuring transparency. If you wish to exercise your data subject rights (such as accessing or deleting your data), you can contact us at hello@doshi.app, and we will collaborate with OpenAI to fulfil your request in compliance with GDPR.
Our platform may contain links to or allow interaction with external third-party services not directly involved in processing your data. Doshi is not responsible for the availability, functionality, or security of these external services. We encourage you to review the terms and policies of any external services before engaging with them.
23. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WEBSITES WE LINK TO
Doshi may provide links to Santander’s website, apps, or services. These links are provided for your convenience and informational purposes only.
Please note that these third-party websites are not under our control. We are not responsible for their content, functionality, legality, or any other aspect of these websites. The inclusion of such links does not imply endorsement by Doshi or any association with their operators.
Before you engage with these third-party sites. we strongly advise you to review Santander’s terms and conditions and privacy policy. Any interaction you have with these third-party sites, including any purchase of goods or services, is solely between you and the third-party site provider.
Doshi does not make any representation or warranty about the safety, quality, or suitability of any third-party sites or any of the material contained in them. Therefore, access to and use of such third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to the terms and conditions of these sites.
24.LICENCE RESTRICTIONS
24.1.You agree that you will
In using the Doshi app, you agree to abide by the following license restrictions:
1. You will not rent, lease, sub-license, loan, provide, or otherwise make available, the Doshi app in any form, in whole or in part to any person without prior written consent from us;
2. You will not copy the Doshi app or any related Documentation, except as part of the normal use of the app or where it is necessary for the purpose of back-up or operational security;
3. You will not translate, merge, adapt, vary, alter or modify, the whole or any part of the Doshi app, nor permit the Doshi app or any part of it to be combined with, or become incorporated in, any other programs, except as necessary to use the Doshi app on devices as permitted in these terms;
4. You will not disassemble, de-compile, reverse engineer or create derivative works based on the whole or any part of the Doshi app nor attempt to do any such things, except to the extent that (by virtue of sections 50B and 296A of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988) such actions cannot be prohibited because they are necessary to decompile the Doshi app to obtain the information necessary to create an independent program that can be operated with the Doshi app or with another program (“Permitted Objective”),and provided that the information obtained by you during such activities:
● is not disclosed or communicated without our prior written consent to any third party to whom it is not necessary to disclose or communicate it to achieve the Permitted Objective; and
● is not used to create any software that is substantially similar in its expression to the Doshi app;
● is kept secure; and
● is used only for the Permitted Objective;
5. You will comply with all applicable technology control or export laws and regulations that apply to the technology used or supported by the Doshi app.
25. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Doshi App Limited (or our licensors) hold all intellectual property rights in and to the Doshi app worldwide. The app is licensed, not sold, to you for use. This means that we retain ownership of the app at all times.
Your use of the app grants you no intellectual property rights in or to the app beyond the limited license for use provided under these terms, and under any direct agreement between you and Doshi App Limited. It is important to remember that unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in serious consequences, including but not limited to infringement claims and damages.
26. OUR LIABILITY
27.1. Limitations of liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents, or subcontractors, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
27.2. Limitations to liability if you are a consumer
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. You agree not to use the Doshi app for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
27.3. Limitations to the App
The Doshi app is provided for general information and entertainment purposes only. It does not offer advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action based on information obtained from the Doshi app. We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees that the AI assistant is accurate, complete, or up to date.
27.4. When we are liable for damage to your property
If defective digital content that we have supplied damages a device or digital content belonging to you, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation. However, we will not be liable for damage that you could have avoided by following our advice or installation instructions.
27.5. Check that the App is suitable for you
The Doshi app has not been developed to meet your individual requirements. Please check that the facilities and functions of the Doshi app meet your requirements.
27.6. We are not responsible for events outside our control
If our provision of the Doshi app or support is delayed by an event outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay.
28. CONSEQUENCES OF BREAKING THESE TERMS
1. Termination of Your Rights:
● If you have violated these terms significantly, we may terminate your rights to use the Doshi app at anytime. If the violation is rectifiable, we will provide you with a reasonable opportunity to correct it.
2. If we terminate your rights to use the Doshi app:
● You must cease all activities authorised by these terms, including your use of the Doshi app.
● You are required to delete or remove the Doshi app from all devices in your possession and promptly destroy all copies of the Doshi app that you have. You need to confirm to us that you have done this.
28. WE MAY TRANSFER THIS AGREEMENT TO SOMEONE ELSE
We reserve the right to transfer our obligations and rights under these terms and conditions to another entity. In such an event, we will always notify you in writing. We will make sure that this transfer will not negatively impact your rights under these terms and conditions.
29. YOU NEED OUR CONSENT TO TRANSFER YOUR RIGHTS TO SOMEONE ELSE
You are not permitted to transfer your rights or obligations under these terms and conditions to another individual or entity unless we provide explicit written consent. Please contact us at hello@doshi.app for any requests of this nature.
30. NO RIGHTS FOR THIRD PARTIES
This agreement is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of itsterms. In particular, the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply to this agreement.
31. IF A COURT FINDS PART OF THIS CONTRACT ILLEGAL,THE REST WILL CONTINUE IN FORCE
Every clause of these terms of use operates independently. If any legal regulation or competent court finds any of these clauses unenforceable or invalid, the remaining clauses will remain in full force and effect. The unenforceable or invalid clause will be replaced with a valid and enforceable clause that achieves, to the greatest extent possible, the same effect as would have been achieved by the invalid or unenforceable clause.
32. EVEN IF WE DELAY IN ENFORCING THIS CONTRACT, WE CAN STILL ENFORCE IT LATER
Our failure or delay in enforcing any provision of this contract at any time does not waive our right to enforce the same or any other provision(s) hereof in the future. Any waiver of such rights or failure to act or delay by us does not constitute a waiver of the same or any other rights under these terms. We reserve the right to enforce all terms and conditions contained herein at any time.
33. APPLICABLE LAW
The terms, their subject matter and formation, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. However, if you are a resident of another country, you have the right to rely on any mandatory provisions of the law of that country. Both you and we agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a resident of another country, you may also bring proceedings in that country.
